Predicting the top scorer at each position for Wild Card weekend

Quarterback: Matthew Stafford

It is a return trip to Detroit for Matthew Stafford and will be the first time playing in Ford Field as a visitor. The veteran quarterback was traded to the Rams prior to the 2021 season and would go on to win his first Super Bowl in the first year with the Rams.

Stafford started the season off having to throw the ball alot and while he did have three 300 passing yard games in the first four weeks, he had only three total touchdowns during that stretch while throwing five interceptions.

The end of the season has been a different story and in the final six games he played, he has 15 touchdowns and only three interceptions. He is averaging around 35 pass attempts per game but this game he could be higher than 40.

The Lions are strong against the run but struggle to defend the pass, allowing the third most points per game to quarterback. I would expect Stafford to want to have a big game on Sunday night and should be able to deliver the best performance among quarterbacks this week.
