5. Aidan O'Connell (Las Vegas Raiders)

Aidan O'Connell was the eighth quarterback drafted in the 2023 NFL Draft but is now in line to be the starting quarterback for the remainder of the season for the Raiders. The former Purdue quarterback has started the last two games and thrown for 362 yards with one touchdown and one interception but the Raiders have won both games.

The Raiders are almost certain to move on from Jimmy Garoppolo this offseason and are going to be looking for a new quarterback in 2024. At this point, they likely will finish somewhere in the middle of the first round so are unlikely to be in a position to draft one of those top quarterbacks.

It may be a situation where the Raiders bring in a veteran to compete with O'Connell but he should have a chance to remain the starter. If the Raiders keep players like Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers and Josh Jacobs, he has the talent around him to be a low-end QB2 as early as next season.
