Sam Howell (37.7% rostered)

If you need a quarterback, then Sam Howell has to be at the top of the waiver priority for this week. He had an incredible game against the Philadelphia Eagles with nearly 400 passing yards while finding the end zone four times.

The second-year quarterback has been playing pretty well over the last month with over 300 passing yards in two of his past four games and in total has nine passing touchdowns and three interceptions. The interceptions is a bit of a concern but Howell is second in the league in pass attempts and Eric Bieniemy has been asking him to throw a lot.

The Washington Commanders play the New England Patriots this week and Bill Belichick has usually done a good job shutting down inexperienced quarterbacks. However, the Patriots defense doesn't have the talent they have in the past and Howell should be a good play this week.
