The Jacksonville Jaguars are holding onto their top spot in the AFC South and in Week 16 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have their starting quarterback. On Saturday, it was reported by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport that Trevor Lawrence has cleared concussion protocol and will be traveling with the team.

The Jaguars quarterback has been dealing with several injuries this season starting with a knee injury in October. He wouldn't miss any time but it definitely impacted his ability to scramble. However, about a month after the injury, Lawrence was moving better and had four rushing touchdowns over three games.

Unfortunately, he suffered an ankle injury against the Bengals and hasn't had a rushing touchdown in the past two games while throwing four touchdown passes but three interceptions. His availability this week was in jeopardy as he was in the concussion protocol but he looks ready to play this week.

Should Trevor Lawrence be in fantasy football lineups for Week 16?

For most of the season, the Bucs have been one of the worst defenses in defending the pass and allowed the seventh most points to quarterbacks this season. However, over the past four games the Bucs have been slightly better and have allowed the 15th fewest points per game to quarterbacks.

That improvement though could be due to the quarterbacks they have played during that stretch, which included Gardner Minshew, Bryce Young, Desmond Ridder, and Jordan Love.

Trevor Lawrence is a low-end QB1 this week against the Bucs but if he is over the ankle injury from a few weeks ago, he moves up into a Top 6 option. The Bucs have allowed the second most rushing touchdowns to quarterbacks this season at six and if Lawrence can find the end zone, that will be enough to move him into that top tier.

The return of Trevor Lawrence is also good news for players like Calvin Ridley and Evan Engram as both have good matchups this week that should make them good options to have in fantasy football lineups.
