The first game of Week 16 will be between the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams and the Saints are expected to get back a key part of their offense that fantasy football managers need to take note of.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, head coach Dennis Allen said that Chris Olave will play on Thursday night against the Rams. The former first round pick missed last week's game due to an injury suffered the week prior against the Carolina Panthers.

Prior to the injury in Week 14, Olave was playing some of his best football of the season with six receptions, 94 receiving yards and a touchdown in Week 10, seven receptions, 114 receiving yards in Week 12, and then five receptions for 119 yards in Week 13.

Chris Olave is a great start at wide receiver for fantasy football in Week 16

The New Orleans Saints wide receiver is returning for a great matchup this week against the Rams. Over the past month, the Rams have allowed the third most fantasy points per game to wide receivers. During that stretch, wide receivers have 53 receptions, 737 receiving yards, and six receiving touchdowns.

The receiving touchdown total is the third most in the NFL during that time frame.

With Chris Olave back this week, it should also be a boost for Derek Carr. The veteran quarterback's first season in New Orleans hasn't been great but he has had some big games, like last week against the Giants with three passing touchdowns.

There are several quarterbacks whose status for this week is in question but the problem is that Derek Carr will have already played before the availability of Jacksonville Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence or Houston Texans' C.J. Stroud is finalized, although Stroud is reportedly likely to miss this week.
