Fantasy Football: Tyson Bagent to start against the New Orleans Saints in Week 9
In Week 7, undrafted rookie quarterback Tyson Bagent got the start for the Chicago Bears in place of the injured Justin Fields. He looked pretty good in the game against the Las Vegas Raiders as he threw for 162 yards with one touchdown and no turnovers.
Bagent once again got the start on Sunday in place of Fields in a plus matchup against a Los Angeles Chargers defense that has struggled against the pass. However, he struggled in this game with 232 passing yards, no passing touchdowns, two interceptions but did find the end zone with a rushing touchdown.
On Monday, head coach Matt Eberlus announced that Tyson Bagent would get at least one more start as Justin Fields is not quite ready to return from his dislocated thumb.
Tyson Bagent is not a good start for fantasy football in Week 9 against the New Orleans Saints
Even with four teams on bye, and a number of other teams dealing with injuries at the position, Tyson Bagent is not a great start this week against the New Orleans Saints. The Saints defense has been one of the best this season defending quarterbacks as they have allowed less than 190 passing yards per game.
They have also done a good job forcing turnovers and currently are tied for fourth in the league in interceptions with nine already this season. While options may be limited at the position, Tyson Bagent is one to steer clear of in Week 9 and there are better options on the waiver wire.
