For most of the season, Jared Goff has been one of the better quarterbacks for fantasy football. He currently has scored the 12th most points among quarterbacks and has had four games where he has finished inside the Top 8 at the position.

This week, Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions are home against the Chicago Bears who are getting their own starting quarterback this week with Justin Fields expected to return. The Bears defense meanwhile is allowing the ninth most points per game on the season to quarterbacks.

For some fantasy football managers, they could have drafted Jared Goff while stashing Kyler Murray on their bench. The Arizona Cardinals quarterback has missed most of the season as he has worked his way back from a torn ACL suffered last season.

Murray is playing a Houston Texans defense that is allowing the 14th most points per game against quarterbacks this season.

Should Jared Goff or Kyler Murray get the start in fantasy football for Week 11?

While the season stats point towards Goff getting the start, the Bears have actually been much better against quarterbacks as of late. In the last four weeks, they are averaging the 10th fewest points allowed to quarterbacks with seven passing touchdowns but also six interceptions.

Meanwhile, the Texans defense is trending in the opposite direction as they are allowing more points over the last four weeks to quarterbacks. In the last four weeks, they have allowed only five touchdowns but are not forcing turnovers at the same rate as the Bears with only two.

The fact that Jared Goff has the tougher matchup, combined with the fact that Kyler Murray should be able to make more plays running the ball, the Arizona Cardinals quarterback should be started this week for fantasy football in place of Jared Goff.
